Advantages and Disadvantages of Diesel Gensets:

Advantages:

• Most efficient
• Less maintenance- usually only need to change the oil, fuel, air filter, and oil filter
• Fuel is safer to store
• Long lasting

Disadvantages:

• Usually  more expensive
• Fuel may not be accessible during widespread blackout
• Keeping up with maintenance is very important to the life of the system
• Louder systems, may need sound barrier
